Parent & Grandparent Visa
You can make it easy for your parents & grandparents to spend the rest of their lives in Canada. If you hold a permanent resident visa or have Canadian citizenship, and have enough financial aid to support the person/s you want to sponsor, you can go for the grandparents & parents visa program. In the long run with Canadian family class sponsorship programs, your grandparents/parents can also apply to become Canadian Citizens. To apply for PGP you need to submit a few documents of proof.
- A letter of invitation from child/grandchild
- Financial proof that person fulfills the Low Income Cut-off (LICO)
- Document of proof the show relationship between child and parents/grandparents
Super Visa
Super Visa as the names suggest offers additional benefits for grandparents and parents. An extended visitors’ visa is to obtain temporary residence to visit their close relatives. The validity for the Super Visa is ten years or up to the passport expiry date, whichever is earlier. Within that time, people with super visas can remain in Canada for two years, unlike a normal visitor visa that allows only for 6-months
To be eligible for Super Visa:
- Proof of relationship
- Proof Financial capability to manage their stay in Canada
- Medical insurance of minimum coverage $100K for health care, repatriation, and hospitalization from a Canadian insurance company for at least one year.
- Medical examination
- Proof for tie-up from their country to the convenience that they will leave the Canada land after their authorized stay
Spouse Sponsorship Immigration
Canada Family Class Immigration program has provision for Spouse Sponsorship Immigration in which any person who is a permanent resident of Canada, a citizen of Canada, or person registered in Canada as an Indian under the Canadian Indian Act. You need to showcase a document to prove your relationship with the person you are sponsoring i.e. partner/spouse. Also, you need to make sure that you have ample financial backup to fulfil the basic needs of the person. If your spouse or partner also has a dependent child with him/her then you need to submit an income report.
