The average cost of education in Canada for international students ranges from CAD 7000 to CAD 45,000 and if you are willing to study at a Canadian educational institution, you must apply for a study permit. Though if the course or program you want to study is less than 6 months or you are a family member or staff of a foreign representative to Canada or you are a member of a foreign armed force then, you won’t need a study permit for Canada.
Eligibility factor for a study permit in Canada:
Acceptance letter by a school, college, university or other educational institution in Canada.
- Have completed graduation degree on the speculated time for particular course
- Proof of money for your tuition fees, living expenses, return transportation for yourself and family members
- Proof of being a law-abiding citizen and no criminal record and you do not pose the risk to the security of Canada

Work Permit

There are some pathways by which TFW can get permanent residency (PR) of Canada.
At the beginning of the program, it was only for live-in caregivers and agricultural workers, now it is expanded to wide options for other skilled workers. However, some professions do not require a temporary work permit to work in Canada.


Temporary Foreign Worker with/out LMIA
Labour Market Impact Assessment or LMIAs in Canada is a document/certification that a Canadian employer before hiring foreign workers. Receiving a positive LMIA shows that there is a need for a worker to fill a certain job that can not be filled with Canadian citizens. If you are eligible to work in Canada your employer will send you an LMIA document to accompany the work permit application for the given job. You can apply for a work permit without an LMIA document for certain jobs that are included in
- An international trade accord, such as the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA),
- An accord between the federal government and a provincial/territorial government
- Jobs that are in the best interest of Canada.
NAFTA Work Permit
To make it easy for the United States and Mexico, three nations signed a treaty North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) and the United States eliminated most tariffs between the counties. NAFTA replaced the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA) on July 1, 2020. Under this program, Americans & Mexican don’t need to get a Temporary Resident Visa to enter Canada. Applications for a NAFTA Work Permit usually done at the Port of Entry, (for example, a fringe intersection or air terminal), or by a Visa office, either on the web or by paper. Caregiver Program
The professionals in the caregiver sector do not have to leave their families to work in Canada. With its two special programs for caregivers, you can apply for permanent and temporary residence visas via study/work permit after being eligible for the migration.
The two programs for foreign caregivers in Canada are The Home Child Care Provider and Home Support Worker pilots.
Eligibility criteria for the program:
Must have job offers
Clears CLB 5 language test
One year of postsecondary education/foreign equivalent
Proof of all the documents to be admissible for Canada such as police verification record, medical record, financial statements.
PGW/P

Visitor Visa
